Mosquito Energy specialises in sourcing funding and investment for commercially viable opportunities. By employing advanced, unique technologies to de-risk and upgrade prospects, we establish the lowest upfront costs while maximising Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Net Present Value (NPV) prior to development and production expenditure.
Mosquito Energy is a new generation, global energy development company.
Supported by years of experience in the energy sector around the globe, Mosquito Energy identifies, evaluates and develops energy related projects, ranging from traditional hydrocarbons to sustainable renewables. Mosquito Energy utilises bespoke teams with the appropriate skill set and experience for each project, optimising efficient delivery and ensuring successful outcomes through the whole lifecycle of the project, from identification through to final execution.

While Mosquito Energy is passionate and committed to the transition to clean, renewable energy, hydrocarbons remain an essential and viable energy source. We have assessed projects and engaged project owners worldwide including in Australia, Eastern Europe, Asia and the USA.

Scott Wooldridge
DIRECTOR • Corporate
Scott has over 20 years’ experience in strategic business management and corporate development within the energy sector, including oil and gas and more recently, in Renewables. He is highly skilled in cultivating relationships and facilitating collaboration between the different stakeholders involved at the start up stage of projects through leveraging of his extensive network of professional and industry contacts and investor connections. Scott has successfully raised capital and secured funding for start-up technology companies and Renewables projects typically in excess of $500M.
Scott is a consummate communicator and together with his considerable experience as a Managing Director of several profitable companies, has the knowledge and expertise to strategically guide projects to successful completion.
Scott is a qualified Chemist and Biotechnologist with 20 years’ experience in the energy sector.
Renewables
The need to transition away from fossil fuel sources of energy to cleaner, renewable energy was recognized by the Directors of Mosquito Energy over 10 years ago . With this in mind, we started forming strategic working relationships with the most experienced and capable leaders in the renewable industry, with a focus on building a portfolio of sustainable, renewable energy projects.

Additionally, Mosquito Energy continues to seek strong relationships with large investment groups, passionate about building quality power systems that use renewable energy to meet the requirements of small communities through to large cities. Existing funding partners range from large superannuation funds to private investors. We have worked closely with them to establish operating structures that ensure a smooth funding process which benefits all stakeholders. Mosquito Energy welcomes discussion with all like minded funding parties to explore new opportunities.

Our capacity to deliver renewable energy solutions in partnership with technology specialists and the financial support of large funding bodies, is built on a solid foundation. Mosquito Energy facilitates the connection of our funding partners to appropriate projects that meet their specific directives, negotiates a mutually beneficial project framework and manages the development, engineering, procurement and commissioning of each facility.

Jon Elliott
DIRECTOR • Exploration
Jon has over 35 years of continuous oil and gas exploration industry experience. He initially held operational technical positions and then progressed into specialist wellbore stability modelling where he is responsible for setting critical well design parameters for engineering solutions. He has extensive experience with various types of reservoirs including platform and reef carbonates, fractured basement, thinly laminated clastics and has also been involved with numerous geosteered development projects. Jon has worked assets around the world in East and West Africa, the North Sea, West Papua, PNG, India, China, Australia and Indonesia. His recent work has focused on assessing and ranking asset opportunities with an emphasis on high-grading prospects with high probability of success and de-risking strategies.

Mark Lawrence
Managing Director
Mark has been involved in the energy sector for 35 years initially in technical roles and leading teams within major E&P companies and junior explorers delivering resource value in many parts of the world. For much of the last 15 years, Mark has focused on business systems, risk management and business optimisation of new technology start-ups in the energy sector. His specific expertise in strategic direction and operational execution has seen commercialisation of a number of products and services for start-ups in the energy sector. He holds a Bachelor of Science in geology from the University of New South Wales and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern Queensland.
